People Worth Meeting – The ‘Boyband’ Entrepreneur, The High Performance Coach, The Baron of Dublin, The ‘Unique’ Hotelier and The Storyteller on The Coffee at Eleven Show Lockdown Week 10

50 Shows! I can’t believe it!

When COVID-19 hit, I made a statement I would go live at 11am every weekday interviewing People Worth Meeting over a cup of coffee in a virtual cafe environment, thinking we’d be in lockdown for about three weeks – we’ve been here 10 weeks so far and there are another 10 to go so, what I thought was going to be a handful of virtual coffees will in fact reach 100 episodes of The Coffee at Eleven Show! (Series 1…)

I did not see that coming.

The other thing I didn’t see coming was the fact that it has become a ‘thing’ – people are zooming in from Scandinavia, France, the USA, Australia, the UK and of course all over the island to have the craic and listen to some amazing stories from People Worth Meeting.

It has been, and continues to be, my privilege to host The Coffee at Eleven Show which I could not do, but for the unfailing support of Michelle Barry, aka Princess Shelley, Eamonn Smith aka, The Monk and Caterina O’Brien, aka Our Rock – thank you folks.

Anyway we had another fantastic week on The Coffee at Eleven Show, chatting with more ‘People Worth Meeting’ in front of a LIVE, growing and international audience.

It’s been fascinating! And great fun!

This week we met The ‘Boyband’ Entrepreneur, The High Performance Coach, The Baron of Dublin, The ‘Unique’ Hotelier and The Storyteller

  • Friday: The Storyteller, “Hunker Down Like A Hedgehog And Immerse Yourself In Nature.” Brighid Mc Laughlin told the Coffee at 11 audience

People Worth Meeting – Brighid McLaughlin – The Coffee at Eleven Show REPLAY “Hunker Down Like A Hedgehog And Immerse Yourself In Nature.” Brighid Mc Laughlin told the Coffee at 11 audience

Brighid McLaughlin is a former journalist with the Sunday Independent, the Sunday Times, London and Punch magazine, London. She is a storyteller, folk artist, and cookery writer. She believes everything in her life from journalism, painting, and folklore is synonymous with stories. Her passions are baking, preserving Irish heritage, Irish folklore, old Irish recipes, and vernacular Irish furniture. She swims daily in the Irish sea just yards away from her stunning ‘Biddys Cottage’ location on the East Coast of Ireland. From her delft collecting days across platinum prairies of wheat fields, to the fresh bulging Apple Pie, she had just baked especially for us (to tease us with, methinks!)), Brighid certainly captivated each and every person in our café. Yet it hasn’t all been plain sailing – Brighid shared some incredibly painful personal moments too. That said, on balance Brighid brought a whole other level of scrumptious to The Coffee at Eleven Show today. Stick on the kettle, grab a coffee and a notepad, pull up a comfy chair and listen, learn and laugh alongside the LIVE audience in this fantastic replay.
